What’s being called a Mars Internet (really just a flock of communications satellites) is being planned. Assuming that the Polar Lander touched down safely, such a system may have prevented its silence, and will certainly help all such future missions.

The first 1 GHz pc is on the market, and you can get one for only $2450. It’s a bit loud, at 39db, and, thanks to the compressor, weighs about 80 pounds. But still… 1 GHz!

Time for more Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast links, both from the ghost planet mailing list I belong to. First, visit Mike Shawaluk’s Episode Guide that contains dynamicaly-formatted transcripts of every show. His transcripts were so good that Cartoon Network used them as the official transcripts until they recently started doing them in-house. Second, Hen Solo has a wonderful page that includes a flash christmas card that creatively mixes clips from the show with original animation.

Thanks to Memepool, I now know whare to buy some really funny greeting cards. Most are too mean to really send to anybody, but many had me laughing out loud.

All you hampster dance lovers out there can watch the new video by The Cuban Boys on-line courtesy of Virgin Records. The song features a “re-created sample” of the hampster dance’s sample of the Disney Robin Hood movie, and the video features a singing hamster puppet.
