Yowsers! Road repair crews in Kenya used gravel from a local gravel pit to pave the roads. This happens all over the world, I imagine. Trouble was, the rock at this gravel pit had a high amount of Thorium 232, and now up to 25,000 people have to be checked for radiation poisoning.
